Purposive sampling included nine MSM with differing testing histories and one HIV program coordinator. Semi-structured interviews were analyzed thematically using TPB. Results: Perceived benefits of knowing HIV status supported favorable attitudes, whereas feared positive results and stigma discouraged testing. Peer reassurance supported intention, while anticipated family rejection complicated disclosure. Free, nearby services facilitated access; privacy concerns and restricted service hours constrained perceived control. These accounts suggest that favorable attitudes and supportive norms facilitate intention when testing is perceived as socially safe and practically feasible. Conclusion: Testing intentions reflected attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control within a stigmatizing context. Confidential counseling, peer navigation, and accessible services warrant evaluation.
2026-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 JURNAL KESEHATAN REPRODUKSIhttps://jurnalkespro.wise-edu.or.id/index.php/kespro/article/view/418Determinants of Low Birth Preparedness in Primigravida Mothers from the Perspective of Women's Empowerment2026-05-05T12:34:33+00:00Marliana Rahmamarliana.rahma@yahoo.comYayuk Sri Rahayuyayuk.narafif@gmail.comiAri Kurniasiharinaufalisha@gmail.comAde Krisna Gintingkrisnaade7777@gmail.comFirdaus Abdul Azizfirdausmarlin8086@gmail.com
Background: Birth preparedness and complication readiness are essential strategies for reducing pregnancy-related complications and maternal mortality. Social factors, maternal knowledge, and digital access may substantially influence a mother's preparedness for childbirth. Objective: This study aimed to identify the determinants of low birth preparedness among primigravida mothers. Method: An analytical cross-sectional study was conducted among 187 primigravida pregnant women in Purwasari Sub-district, Indonesia, in February 2025. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using the chi-square test to determine associations between study variables and birth preparedness. Results: Digital health literacy and digital access were significantly associated with birth preparedness (p < 0.001). Childbirth self-efficacy (p = 0.016) and maternal knowledge (p < 0.001) were also significantly associated with birth preparedness. In contrast, reproductive decision-making autonomy (p = 0.731), financial control over childbirth (p = 0.985), and perceptions of local gender norms (p = 0.778) showed no significant associations. Conclusion: Digital health literacy, childbirth self-efficacy, and maternal knowledge are key determinants of low birth preparedness among primigravida mothers. Complementary interventions such as yoga and facial acupressure can support maternal mental health. Objective: This study focused primarily on a qualitative approach to present preliminary findings, particularly to explore factors that may reduce complaints associated with the baby blues and to understand participants’ responses to the facial acupressure and yoga interventions they had received. In the following year, the research will be directed toward a quantitative study design. Methods: A qualitative study was conducted among 15 postpartum mothers who had received yoga and facial acupressure training during pregnancy classes (June–September 2025). Four midwives were also interviewed, including two maternal health coordinators and two independent practitioners affiliated with the Indonesian Midwives Association. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations, then analyzed through coding and theme development. Results: Mothers reported increased happiness, self-care, self-acceptance, bonding, role adaptation, and emotional calm. Midwives emphasized the effectiveness of interventions, the need for training, professional motivation, and competency development. Conclusions: Yoga combined with facial acupressure is a feasible and acceptable approach to enhance postpartum well-being, supported by strengthened midwifery competencies through structured training.
2026-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 JURNAL KESEHATAN REPRODUKSIhttps://jurnalkespro.wise-edu.or.id/index.php/kespro/article/view/459The Efficacy of Health Insurance Agency (BPJS) Endorphin Pocket Book in Managing Primary Dysmenorrhea in Adolescents2026-05-04T15:18:35+00:00Neny Yuli Susantinenyyulisusanti@gmail.comHerliana Riskaherlianariska@staff.uns.ac.idLia Fitrialeeafitria@gmail.comNur Rahmawati Sholihahrahmaherdian127@gmail.comMiftakhur Rohmah m1111ftaa@gmail.comIka Wijayantiika.midwifery@gmail.com
Background: Primary dysmenorrhea significantly disrupts daily activities and diminishes the quality of life among adolescent females. Objective: This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of the '[Name] Endorphin' pocketbook in enhancing adolescents' knowledge, attitudes, and skills in managing menstrual discomfort through non-pharmacological methods. Method: A quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design was conducted.
